UPPSC Civil Judge Eligibility

Before filling out the application for the UPPSC Civil Judge, candidates must ensure they fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria. 

Age Criteria (As of 01.07.2023)

• Minimum: 22 years
• Maximum: 35 years

Age relaxation will be provided as per govt. Rules

Educational Qualification

• Must be a Bachelor of Laws of a University established by Law in U.P. or the any other University of India recognised for this purpose by the Governor, 

Or 

• Must be an Advocate enrolled under the provisions of the Advocate Act 1961 or a Barrister of England or Northern Ireland or a Member Faculty of Advocates in Scotland and is entitled to practice in the Court or Courts subordinate thereto.
• Must possess a thorough Knowledge of Hindi in Devnagri Script.

UPPSC Civil Judge Selection Process

The selection process for the UPPSC Civil Judge is as follows: 

• Preliminary Examination (Objective and Multiple Choice Type)
• Main Examination (Written Conventional Type) 
• Viva-voce (Personality Test)

UPPSC Civil Judge Exam Pattern

Candidates can check the exam pattern for the UPPSC Civil Judge Prelims and Mains below. Candidates who clear the Prelims, will be going for the Mains Exam, and then for the Interview round. The interview will be of 100 marks.
