SSC GD Constable Uniform for Border Security Force (BSF)
Border Security Force (BSF) is one of the world’s largest border-guarding forces, i.e., the Indian border. BSF comes under the purview of the Ministry of Home Affairs of India. Like all other CAPFs, the SSC GD Constable Uniform for BSF differs among respective hierarchies. However, the SSC GD Uniform for BSF has the following features -
- The BSF uniform is a darker shade of khaki than a typical khaki uniform.
- The belts and shoes worn are also entirely black in colour
- Unlike most forces’ blue berets, the BSF GD beret worn is black in colour.
- The epaulette in the higher rank officials of BSF includes a sword and baton in the form of a cross along with the national Ashoka pillar symbol.
Note: BSF Constables under Ministerial grounds do not enjoy this insignia privilege.

SSC GD Constable Uniform for Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)
The SSC GD Uniform for SSC GD Constable CISF is a combined Khaki or Terry cotton uniform that differs across summer and winter seasons. The striking features of the CISF SSC GD Constable Uniform are as follows -
- The CISF uniform for Constable dress is a typical khaki uniform with terry cotton for summer and an Angola shirt for winter.
- The belt and shoes are black.
- The beret worn is blue
- The epaulette has one chevron insignia.
Note: The CISF Combined Camouflage dress is only reserved for Ground Duty constables and Executive-rank officers.
SSC GD Constable Uniform for Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
CRPF is the federal police force in India and the sentinel of the Indian Union. The SSC GD Uniform for CRPF cadres differs along the hierarchies. The SSC GD CRPF Constable uniform shares the following features -
- The SSC GD Uniform for CRPF presents a medium Khaki colour with a green and olive camouflage mix along with brown stripes.
- The CRPF Constables wear black belts and shoes.
- The beret is usually blue or maroon in colour.
- There is no insignia on the SSC GD CRPF uniform.
Note: As per the news sources, the CRPF Khaki uniform was proposed to be changed back in 2020.
SSC GD Constable Uniform for SSB, ITBP, and SSF
The SSC GD Constable uniform for Sashastra Seema Bal is a combination of dark olive green and brown on a Khaki dress. The SSC GD SSF Constable cadres also share a unique Khaki colour with brown stripes while the ITBP cadres of Ground Duty Constable post wear a mixture of maroon and dark green stripes on the Khaki uniform.
SSC GD Constable Uniform for Sepoy
Unlike all other SSC GD Constable forces’ who enjoy Pay Level 3, the Sepoy cadres enjoy a Pay Level–1(Rs.18,000 to 56,900). But their role is predominantly important as Rifleman in Assam Rifle and in Narcotic Control Bureau. They wear a khaki or olive green khaki dress with black shoes and a belt.
