Your Total Savings ₹1724SSC CGL Revised Syllabus is the latest syllabus released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination. The revised syllabus includes changes in the number of questions, marks, topics, and the pattern of the exam. The number of questions asked in the written exam has been reduced from 200 to 100, while the marks have been increased from 200 to 400. The new syllabus also includes changes in the topics of General Awareness, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and Comprehension, and Statistics. The paper pattern of the exam has also been modified to include a new section on General Studies. The revised syllabus also includes changes in the eligibility criteria for certain posts.
The SSC CGL Exam is conducted in two tiers Tier 1 and Tier 2. Both the exams are computer based online exams. The Tier 2 is further divided into 3 parts, paper l, paper ll and paper lll. We will look into these in detail later in this SS CGL Syllabus article. Below given is a tabular representation of the SSC CGL Tier 1 and Tier 2 division.

This will be a computer-based online test of 200 marks for a duration of 60 minutes. There is a negative marking of 0.50 Marks for each incorrect attempt. There is no sectional cut-off.

The questions will be designed to test the ability to appropriate use numbers and number sense of the candidate. The scope of the test will be the computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions and relationships between numbers. It will test the sense of order among numbers, ability to translate from one name to another, sense or order of magnitude, estimation or prediction of the outcome of computation, selection of an appropriate operation for the solution of real-life problems and knowledge of alternative computation procedures to find answers. The questions would also be based on arithmetical concepts and relationship between numbers and not on complicated arithmetical computation (The standard of the questions will be of 10+2 level).

The SSC CGL revised exam pattern for Tier II of the exam is given in the table below.
