SSC MTS Salary 2023

After the SSC MTS recruitment 2023, the candidates will be paid as per the 7th pay commission. It is expected that they will be paid with pay band-1(5,200 – 20,200) along with the Grade Pay of Rs.1800/-. The take-home salary would be approximately 18,000 – 22,000/- however, the salary would be different depending on the job location of the candidate. The candidates will also be getting other benefits along with the salary which is mentioned below. This is based on the previous year’s data 2022, this might change for the upcoming year,we will update this section after the release of notification 2023. 

SSC MTS Salary Structure After 7th Pay Commission

SSC MTS Salary After 7th Pay Commission is the salary structure for Multi Tasking Staff employed in various central government departments and ministries after the implementation of the 7th Central Pay Commission on 1st January 2016. The new salary structure gives MTS employees a basic pay of Rs 18,000 per month, with other allowances and benefits such as dearness allowance, house rent allowance, transport allowance, and medical allowance. The MTS staff is also eligible for other benefits like leave encashment and gratuity.

SSC MTS In-Hand Salary

The in-hand salary of an SSC MTS employee is usually between Rs.18,000 to Rs.22,000 per month, depending on the city they are posted in. This salary is inclusive of all allowances such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, etc. The salary may also vary depending on the allowances provided by the respective state government. There are also certain deductions in the total salary of an employee, which are as follows:

• Income Tax (based on the tax slab)
• Employee’s Provident Fund 
• Profession tax (depending upon the city)

SSC MTS Job Profile

SSC MTS job profile involves a wide range of tasks and responsibilities, which may vary depending on the department or organization they are working in. Some of the key responsibilities of an SSC MTS include:

• Administrative work: SSC MTS may be responsible for performing various administrative tasks such as maintaining records, filing documents, and processing paperwork.
• Clerical duties: They may be responsible for performing various clerical duties such as data entry, preparing reports, and maintaining databases.
• Customer service: Employees may be responsible for interacting with customers or clients, providing information, and answering any questions they may have.
• Maintenance and cleaning: SSC MTS may be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of government buildings and facilities, as well as performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Security: SSC MTS may be responsible for providing security and surveillance in government buildings and facilities, as well as monitoring and controlling access to these areas.
• Other duties: SSC MTS may also be required to perform other duties as assigned by their superiors such as messenger, peon, and other related tasks.

SSC MTS Job Responsibilities

The candidates after they are recruited will have to take up many responsibilities that are destined for the candidates. Along with their roles, they will also have to take the other responsibilities which are assigned by the senior officers which are mentioned below in the article.

• Physical Maintenance of records of the Section.
• Helping to operate in routine workplaces, and on the computers, such as a diary, dispatch, etc.
• Courier delivery outside the building.
• Work-related to ITI qualifications, if it exists.
• Carrying of files & other papers within the building.
• Photocopying, sending of FAX, etc.
• Driving vehicles, only if they possess a valid driving license.
• General cleanliness & upkeep of the Section/Unit.
• Other non-clerical work in the Section/Unit
• Watch & ward duties.
• Opening & closing of rooms.
• Cleaning of rooms.
• Cleaning of buildings, fixtures, etc.
• Upkeep of parks, lawns, potted plants, etc.
• Any other work assigned by the superior authority

SSC MTS Promotion 2023 (Expected)

After the candidates have completed certain years of work, they will be promoted to the next higher post.

SSC MTS Career Growth

The candidates will be paid according to the 7th pay commission. The candidates will be eligible for different types of increments which are discussed below-

• Promotional Increment
• Annual increment
• Increment in terms of positions and responsibilities

Note:

• An SSC MTS may be promoted to LDC by departmental review, even if the employee does not appear for the test, he will by default be promoted as an LDC depending on the vacancies after the completion of 5-6 years of service.
• Upon clearing the tests, any MTS employee who is LDC can again be promoted to UDC by giving another department test. Or else, on completion of the defined term of service, he could be promoted by default.
• In extraordinary cases, an MTS employee with exceptional years of service will retire holding a Gazetted rank or under the Secretary Level.

Is SSC MTS A Peon Job?

SSC MTS is an excellent way for Indian 10th-grade graduates to obtain a Government job. SSC MTS 2023 Exam (Multitasking Staff) is being held by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to recruit candidates for various positions such as Junior Gestetner Operator, Chowkidar, Safaiwala, Peon, Daftary, Jamadar, and others.
