How to Calculate Marks For SSC CHSL Result

The students can calculate the total marks using the marking scheme decided by the commission. Candidates are always eager to know how well they have scored in the exam to prepare for the next rounds. With the help of the answer key, the candidates have an estimate of their score in the exam before checking out the SSC CHSL Result.. 

• The Tier I exam is for 200 marks in total.
• There are 100 questions in the Tier I exam. 
• For each correct answer, the candidate is awarded 2 marks.
• For each wrong answer, the 0.50 mark is deducted.
• Thus the candidates can add two marks for all the correct answers and minus 0.50 of the total marks they scored for every wrong answer. 
• Since Tier II is a descriptive type of paper, there is no set marking scheme for this. 
• The Tier II exam is for 100 marks in total.

SSC CHSL Result Tie-Breaking Criteria

In cases where two or more candidates have the same marks, the following criteria will be used to break the tie:

• Aspirants who do well in the tier II exam will be given a higher ranking.
• If the tie still exists, a candidate who is older in terms of age would be ranked higher.
• If the tie persists even after that, the alphabetical order of the candidates' names will be reviewed, and the candidates will be ranked accordingly.

The qualified candidates have to appear for a document verification process in which they have to submit all their original documents. The candidates also have to submit their Department and Post options during the verification of these documents. While attending the document verification process, the candidates have to carry an original photo identity proof and two recent passport-sized photographs. The photo ID proof can be either of the following:

• Passport
• PAN card
• College/School Id card

SSC CHSL Merit List

The merit list is released along with the SSC CHSL Result 2022. The merit list is determined by several factors such as the difficulty of the paper, the cut-off marks, the number of vacancies in the department, the category of the candidate, and his/her reservation. A cut off list is released district-wise. After the final list is published, the candidates can proceed to the next round of the document verification. In the document verification round, the candidates must present the matching documents as per the documents he/she has uploaded during the application process.
