Note-
The minimum educational qualification required to apply for the examination is the candidate must have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% of the marks(Pass class for SC/ST/PwD Candidates) from the university which is recognized by the government.
The percentage of marks is calculated by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all the semesters by the maximum marks in all the subjects. The fraction of the percentage will be ignored by the authorities for example if the percentage arrived is 49.99% it will be taken as 50%.
Nationality criteria are the most major aspect of applying for the examination. The candidate must be a citizen of India
Qualified candidates can apply online through the application form, which will be available on the RBI’s website. Once the application is complete, the candidates can start preparing for the selection process which comprises two exams, and a Language Proficiency Test.
Here is the simple process for applying for RBI Assistant.
Step 1: Visit the official website of RBI
Step 2: Click on the option “Recruitment for the post-RBI Assistant”
Step 3: For the candidates who want to apply for the RBI Assistant Recruitment, Choose the option “Click Here for New Registration”.
Step 4: Fill in the details like name, address, e-mail address, phone number, father's name, etc;
Step 5: Read all the instructions carefully and click on “I Agree” and click on “Register”.
Step 6: A registration ID and Password will be sent to your email address.
Step 7: Upload all the necessary documents like Category Certificate, SSC mark sheets, and PwD Certificate for the PwD candidates.
Step 8: Attach your recent passport-size photograph with the date and name. In case you need to resize the documents please use the Testbook Editing Tool.
Step 9: Candidates should use the “Save and Next” option to preview the application form.
Step 10: Candidates are advised to verify all the details as there will be no modification encouraged later.
Step 11: Modify the details if required, and click on “Final Submit” once you verified all the details.
Step 12: Once you click on the final submit button you will be redirected to the payment website
Step 13: Process the payment and click on submit.
Step 14: Once the payment is successful, your application will be generated.
Step 15: Take a printout of the generated application form and payment receipt for future reference.

The candidates who are shortlisted based on the main examination are called for the Language Proficiency Test is the final stage of selection as per the 2022 notification. The same procedure is expected to be followed in the 2023 exam. Candidates who are not proficient in the local language can be disqualified.
