A candidate’s medical examination is not subject to a review of the results of the initial medical examination or recruiting medical officer. An appeal can be permitted if a candidate provides a medical certificate as proof that the Initial Medical Board/Recruiting Medical Officer, who had evaluated the candidate in the first instance, i.e. DME, may have made a mistake in their decision. Such a medical certificate won't be taken into account unless it is supported by a note from a government district hospital's medical officer. The note should state that it was given to the candidate knowing that they had already been turned down and deemed unfit for duty by the CAPF Medical Board or the recruiting medical officer. The CAPF RME Board will again perform the candidate's review medical examination if the CAPF Appellate Authority accepts his or her appeal. The Review Medical Boards' Decision of the CAPF shall be final. The second medical examination's findings, or those of the review medical examination, will not be subject to appeal.
