Why Normalization?

The SSC CGL Normalization Scheme is needed to adjust the scores of the candidates on the basis of various factors like number of candidates appearing in a particular shift, difficulty level of each shift, total number of shifts, etc. Even if the board tries its best to make identical papers, it is not possible as SSC CGL is being conducted in multiple shifts for multiple days.
