15 vacancies have been released for the post of project manager for 2023 cycle.As of now, the commission has not released vacancies for the post of forest ranger and assistant conserver of forest. MPPSC Forest Service Selection Process 2023 

Have a look at the MPPSC Forest Service Selection Process for the Forest Ranger and Assistant Conservator of Forest post: The candidates will have to first appear for the preliminary exam. The successful candidates equal to 15 times the total vacancies will later appear for the mains exam. Successful candidates equal to 3 times the total vacancies will be called for an interview. The candidates will also be tested for physical fitness. In case of any change in the selection process for the 2023 cycle will be updated in the official notification. 

 The expected order of selection stages is as follows:

• Preliminary exam - Prelims exam are the first stage of the selection process that a candidate needs to clear to get selected for the next stage i.e the mains examination
• Mains Exam - After clearing the prelims exam candidates will be next called for the second stage i.e the mains examination.
• Interview - After clearing the above mentioned stages, candidates will finally be called for an interview. In this round the candidate's personality will be analyzed by the board of members through questionnaires set by them.
• Physical Standards Test/Physical Efficiency Test & Medical Exam - After clearing the above two stages Commission will release a list in which it will release the list of selected candidates eligible to go the PST and PET round. In this stage candidates, physical efficiency and endurance will be tested.
• Medical Fitness Test - Candidates will be checked on various medical grounds to check whether the candidates are healthy enough to be selected, more details on this stage would be updated.

MPPSC Forest Service Prelims is the first stage of the selection process, in this test a total of two papers will be asked. Questions will be asked from paper 1 and paper 2. The MPPSC Forest Service Mains Exam pattern comprises two Parts i.e Part A and Part B. In Part, A questions will be asked from the subjects like General Knowledge of M.P, Politics, and Economy of M.P. whereas in Part B questions will be asked from Forestry and General Science

• The exam will be conducted for a total of 450 marks, in Part A and Part B a total of 250 questions will be asked
• For every correct answer candidates will be awarded 3 marks while for every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted.
