JKPSC Prosecuting Officer Provisional Answer Key for Paper I & Paper II released! JKPSC Prosecuting Officer Exam was conducted on 29th January 2023. The Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission is recruiting eligible candidates for the post of Prosecuting Officer in the J&K Home Department for the 2022 cycle. A total of 120 vacancies have been announced by the commission under the JKPSC Prosecuting Officer process. The candidates could apply from 6th October to 11th November 2022. 

• The candidates whose applications will be shortlisted by the board will have to undergo a selection process i.e. Prelims, Mains & Personality Test.
• JKPSC Prosecuting Officer exam date has been released. The exam will be conducted on 29th January 2023.
• Candidates who will clear the complete selection process and make it to the final merit list will be selected for the post applied for. Also, note that the candidates must meet the eligibility criteria as on the reference date.
• As of now, 2021 cycle is ongoing. For the same, mains result and interview dates are out. The interview started from 28th September 2022.

• Stage-I Prelims Exam - In the Prelims questions will be asked from the two papers. The questions will be objective type multiple-choice questions. The prelims are meant to serve as a screening test only. 
• Stage-II Mains Exam - Candidates who will clear the written test will be called for the next stage i.e Mains Exam in which a total of 7 papers will be asked. 
• Stage-III Personality Test or Interview

• The JKPSC Prosecuting Officer Exam paper will be asked in objective type.
• There will be a negative marking scheme. For every wrong answer, there will be 0.25 marks deduction.
• The exam will be conducted for a total of 400 marks.
• Each question paper will consist of a duration of 2 hours.
• The number of questions asked in the exam is 100.
• Paper-II of the exam will be the qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks of 33%.

Mains Exam Pattern

The below mentioned exam pattern is expected as only some details are out by the commission in the official notification.

• The candidates who clear the mains exam will be called up for the Personality Test.
• The personality test will carry 200 marks in total.
• The candidates who make it to the final merit list will be then selected for the post.
