The SSC Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination (CHSL) is taken at several exam centers across India for a variety of government positions. The chosen applicants are assigned to various ministries and departments of the Government of India. SSC CHSL Exam centers have been established in all nine SSC regions: ER, WR, NR, SR, CR, NER, NWR, MPR, and KKR.

SSC CHSL Exam Centers
SSC conducts the CHSL exam at various centers across the country. The number of exam centers may vary each year, but generally, there are around 3,000 centers available. The locations of the centers are spread across different states and union territories in India. The centers are located in major cities as well as smaller towns to ensure that candidates from all parts of the country have access to a nearby center.

How To Choose SSC CHSL Exam Center(s)
When choosing an exam center for the SSC CHSL exam, candidates should consider factors like:
- Location: It is important to choose a center that is located close to your residence or workplace, so that you can easily reach the center on the day of the exam.
- Availability: The number of centers available for the SSC CHSL exam may vary each year, so make sure to check the official website of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the most up-to-date information on the number of centers and their locations.
- Convenience: Consider the convenience of the center in terms of transportation and parking, as well as nearby facilities such as food and accommodation.
- Familiarity: If you have previously taken an exam at a particular center, you may feel more comfortable taking the SSC CHSL exam there as well.

Exam Day Guidelines to Follow at SSC CHSL Exam Centers
Here are some guidelines that candidates should follow on the day of the SSC CHSL exam with respect to exam centers:
- Candidates should reach the exam center at least an hour before the scheduled start time of the exam to avoid any last-minute rush.
- Candidates should carry a valid photo ID and a recent passport-size photograph, as well as a printout of their admit card to the exam center.
- Candidates should dress in a manner that is appropriate for an exam setting. They should avoid wearing any jewelry or accessories that may cause a disturbance during the exam.
- Candidates are not allowed to bring any electronic devices, such as mobile phones, calculators, or smartwatches, into the exam center. They should also avoid bringing any other prohibited items, such as bags, books, or notes.
- Candidates should follow the instructions of the invigilator at all times and refrain from engaging in any prohibited activities during the exam.
SSC CHSL Exam Centers - Points To Be Noted
As per the Notification of SSC CHSL Exam centers Released by SSC, following points need to be noted when filling the exam centers preference list.
- A applicant may select three centers within the same region, in order of priority. Under no circumstances will a request to change the location of the examination be entertained later. As a result, candidates must carefully select the centers and mention them appropriately in their applications.
- The Commission will make every effort to satisfy the candidates' incentives. The Commission, however, maintains the authority to cancel any Centre and require applicants from that Centre to appear from another Centre. The Commission also maintains the authority to transfer candidates from one center to another to sit the examination.
- The Regional/Sub-Regional Office with jurisdiction over the Examination Centres chosen by the candidate shall give the candidate an AdmissionCertificate for the examinations. All additional recruitment-related operations will be handled by the mentioned Regional/Sub-Regional Office.
