Who is Considered as an Ex-Serviceman (ESM)?

The following criteria define an Ex-Serviceman. Have a look at it:

• A candidate who has served any rank (Combatant or Non-Combatant) in the Army, Navy, and Air Force of India.
• A candidate who has been retired or discharged or relieved after completing a specific period of engagement, or at his own request, or inefficiency and has been given a gratuity and is a pension holder in Indian Territorial Army.
• Candidates of the Army Postal Service who have served as a part of the Regular Army and retired from the Army Postal Service on medical issues or without reversion to the parent service with a pension.

• The Gallantry award winners of the Armed Forces including Territorial Army Personnel.
• Ex-recruits boarded out or relieved on medical grounds and granted medical disability pension.

SSC Stenographer Eligibility Criteria: Important Points

• Candidates must note that the date of birth that will be accepted by the Commission for ascertaining an individual’s age eligibility is the birth date which is present in their matriculation / secondary examination certificate and no request for changes will be entertained.
• As per the Ministry of Human Resource Development Notification, all the degrees/ diplomas/ certificates awarded through the Open and Distance Learning mode of education by the Universities established by an Act of Parliament or Institutions under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or State Legislature, etc. stands recognized for the employment to posts and services.
• All candidates who clear the selection process will be required to produce all the relevant Certificates in original such as Marks Sheets, Provisional Certificates, etc. for completion of the 12th standard or equivalent examination as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before 05.09.2022, failing which the candidature of such candidates will be deemed as cancelled.
