Guidelines for PWD Candidates Using a Scribe

Here are some of the guidelines set for the person with a disability using a scribe.

• The facility of using a scribe will be given only to those candidates suffering from benchmark disabilities in the category of blindness, locomotors disability (both arm affected-BA), and cerebral palsy.
• Candidates have to visit the SSC Office of their Exam Centre to meet the scribe two days before the exam in order to check and verify whether the scribe is suitable or not. 
• A compensatory of 20 minutes per hour time will be provided to the persons using a scribe at the examination.
• In case if a candidate does not apply for the scribe assistance from SSC Office during applying online, it will be presumed that they do not require any scribe from SSC Office and will arrange the scribe on their own. 
• PwBD candidates who are using a scribe and receiving a compensatory time are required to submit the Scribe Declaration certificate at the time of the Document Verification/Online exam.
• Failing to provide the certificate will lead to the cancellation of the candidature.
