BPSC Full Form

Officially, the full form of BPSC is Bihar Public Service Commission which holds a Combined Competitive Examination annually with reserved vacancies issued under BPSC CCE Recruitment for several posts. The State Public Service Commission is required to submit an annual report to the Governor of the State under Article 323 of the Indian Constitution. BPSC Exam Eligibility Criteria 2022

BPSC Age Limit

BPSC provides age relaxation for certain categories of candidates in its recruitment BPSC Exam. Age relaxation is the reduction in the upper age limit for candidates belonging to certain categories, as specified in the recruitment notification.

• Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates: SC and ST candidates are generally given age relaxation of 5 years.
• Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates: OBC candidates are generally given age relaxation of 3 years.
• Ex-Servicemen (ESM): ESM candidates are generally given age relaxation of 3 years.
• Persons with Disabilities (PwD): PwD candidates are generally given age relaxation of 10 years.
• Widows, divorced women, and women judicially separated from their husbands: These candidates are generally given age relaxation of 5 years.

BPSC Exam Pattern

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) conducts exams in two stages: the preliminary exam and the main exam. The preliminary exam is a qualifying exam consisting of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in General Studies and Aptitude, and is generally held for a duration of 2 hours. The main exam consists of written and oral (interview) tests, with the written test comprising of MCQs and essay-type questions in General Studies, Aptitude, and Optional Subject, and the oral test being a face-to-face evaluation of the candidate's knowledge and suitability for the post.
