The BPSC has released a notice inviting applications for the BPSC District Art & Culture Officer Mains Exam. Candidates who have qualified the Prelims exam can apply for the mains exam between 5th to 20th September. The commission has also released the details of the exam pattern for the same.

Step 3: Submit your registration form by filling in all the details like name, Aadhar no, address, email ID, phone no, etc.
Step 4: Login using your generated credentials.
Step 5: Complete your application process by paying the application fee and filling in the required details.
Step 6: The finally submitted application form can be saved or printed for future reference.
The candidates will have to pay the application fee as per their category. The application fee shall be non-refundable under any circumstances. In addition to the mentioned amount, bank charges shall also be applicable.

The selection to the post of District Art and Culture Officer shall take place through 3 stages. The preliminary exam shall be conducted only for screening purposes. Successful candidates equal to 10 times the total vacancies shall be called for the mains exam. Hence the total selection stages are as given below:
The candidates need to fulfill the eligibility conditions before applying. The eligibility has been defined by the BPSC on the grounds of age limit and educational qualification.
Graduation from any recognized university, in addition to the postgraduate Diploma in Dramatic Arts or P.G. in Theatre/Dramatics, post-graduation or equivalent degree in dance/music/fine arts/art history.
The candidate must be aged between 21 to 37 years as of 1st August 2020. The age relaxations will be applicable to the following categories:

For the mains examination, the sections on General Hindi, General Studies Paper I and Paper II are compulsory, and candidates must attempt either the paper on History of Art and Art & Tradition of Bihar, or Arts Management.

The admit card for the BPSC District Art Culture Officer will be issued on the official website of BPSC, a few days before the examination. Separate admit cards will be generated for the different stages of the examination. The candidates have to download their admit cards from the official website and get a hard copy of their BPSC District Art and Culture call letter with them on the day of the examination. The salary of a BPSC District Art Culture Officer will be of the Pay Level-6, and according to the Pay Matrix Rs. 35400-112400/-. Other allowances shall be admissible based on the existing rules of the Government.
The Commission has decided on minimum qualifying marks for different categories. The candidates must score equal to or more than the qualifying marks to qualify for the next stage.
The Min. qualifying marks for various categories are as follows. For General Category 40%, Backward Classes 36.5%, Extremely Backward Classes 34%, SC, ST, Women and Divyang candidates 32% marks will be mandatory. The cutoff in the interview will determine the final selection.
