• The candidates who possess a postgraduate Diploma in Dramatic Arts or P.G. in Theatre/Dramatics, PG degree in dance/music/fine arts/art history were eligible to apply for this post.
• The applicants will be selected on the basis of a preliminary examination, mains examination, and an interview.
• The finally selected candidates will be entitled to a pay level -6 in pay matrix Rs. 35,400 - 1,12,400/-.

As discussed earlier, the selection stage shall include 2 examinations. The pattern for both of these exams has been discussed further.

BPSC District Art and Culture Officer Prelims Exam Pattern

• The questions in the prelims exam shall be objective type multiple choice only.
• The maximum marks for the prelims shall be 150 marks. However, the marks scored shall not be considered while selection as the prelims exam is just for screening purposes.

BPSC District Art and Culture Officer Mains Exam Pattern

• The mains exam shall be descriptive in nature.
• The mains exam shall consist of a total of 4 papers.
• General Hindi, General Studies-I, and General Studies-II will be compulsory papers.
• Candidates can opt to appear for either History of Art & Art tradition of Bihar, or Arts Management.
• The maximum weightage for each paper shall be 100 marks.
