• The STET exam consists of two tests i.e. Paper I and Paper-II.
• The candidates who wish to teach Class 9th and 10th must appear for Paper I and those who wish to teach Class 11th and 12th must appear for Paper-II.

21st February 2023: Bihar STET Exam Date Announced

The BSEB has announced the exam dates for Bihar STET 2022. The exam will be held on 6th March 2023 in 3 shifts. The shift timings will be as follows:

• Shift 1: 8.00 AM - 10.30 AM
• Shift 2: 12.00 pm to 2.30 PM
• Shift 3: 4.00 PM to 6.30 PM

The admit cards for the same will be released on 25th February 2023.

Bihar STET Apply Online 2023

In order to appear for the Bihar STET exam, the aspirants need to submit an online application between 3rd to 17th January 2023. The process to do so has been given below.

Step 1: Go to the official website of Bihar STET and click on "Register (New Candidate)."

Step 2: Candidates need to proceed by entering all the relevant personal and educational details.

Step 3: Upload the scanned copies of the documents in the required format.

Step 4: The candidates can finally submit the application form after paying the application fee.

Bihar STET Application Fee 2023

The application fee will depend on the papers for which the candidate is applying. If the applicant is appearing for Paper I or Paper II, the fee will be Rs. 500 and if he/she wishes to appear for both the papers, the fees will be Rs. 800/-. The concessions for the reserved categories are mentioned in the table given below.

Bihar STET Eligibility Criteria 2023

The interested candidates who wish to appear for the exam must first need to satisfy the Bihar STET Eligibility Criteria. Each criterion has been discussed below for your better understanding.

A. Nationality

Candidates who are citizens of India and possess the domicile for Bihar State can only apply for the vacancy.

B. Age Limit

The minimum age of the candidate must be 21 years. The upper age limit has been mentioned in the table given below.

C. Educational Qualification

• For Paper I Applicants– Candidate must have completed Graduation and B.Ed.
  • TGT for MATHS - Graduation with Maths, Physics & Chemistry and B.Ed Or B.Tech with Mathematics subject + B.Ed Science
  • TGT for Science - Graduation with Zoology, Botany & Chemistry subjects and B.Ed Or B.Tech with Science subject + B.Ed
  • TGT for S.St - Social Studies Graduation with History, Geography, Economy And Polity and B.Ed
• For Paper II Applicants– Candidate must have a post-graduate degree  in relevant subject. and B.Ed degree.

Note: The degree must be from a University that has been recognized by UGC.

Bihar STET Selection Process

The Bihar STET Selection Process is as follows:

• Online Application- Apply online for the Bihar STET by following the steps above
• Bihar STET written examination- Appear for the written examination, for both the levels, secondary and higher secondary. Paper I is conducted for secondary level and paper II is conducted for the higher secondary level. 
• Document verification- It is done to check the authenticity of the educational qualification and the proof submitted by the candidate while applying for this examination.
