The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released the official notification for the APSC AE 2022. A total of 67 vacancies have been released for recruitment. Candidates applying for the recruitment should have B.E Civil Engineering. Candidates who get a successful selection under APSC AE recruitment will get a salary range between Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 1,10,000.
The Assam Public Service Commission has released a new notification for the APSC AE (Civil) Recruitment 2022. 63 posts have been invited under Water Resources Department and 4 posts have been invited under the Directorate of Municipal Administration. The application dates are from 5th December 2022 to 4th January 2023. The last date to submit the online application fee is 6th January 2023 for the posts under Water Resources Department and for the posts under the Directorate of Municipal Administration the application dates are from 6th December 2022 to 5th January 2023 and the last day to submit the application fee is 7th January 2023. Assam Public Service Commission has given the detailed eligibility criteria for post of Assistant Engineer. Candidates applying for these 67 vacancies must ensure that they are fulfilling all the eligibility criteria mentioned in the official notification. The eligibility criteria are categorized as age limit, educational qualification and nationality of the candidates. Read further to know more.
The above-mentioned age limit must be satisfied as of 1st January 2020. However, there are certain relaxations on the upper age limit given in the APSC AE Notification.

Candidates who are eligible for the APSC Assistant Engineer post can download the application form before the stipulated application date shared above. Follow the steps given below to apply for the Assistant Engineer vacancies.
Step 1: Visit the official application link given above.
Step 2: New users can click on "Register Here".
Step 3: Now, fill up the application form and submit all the required details.
Step 4: After registering, log in.
Step 5: You have to pay the application fee via Treasury Challan/online means. The candidate may also have to upload scanned copies of important documents.
Step 6: After filling the form completely, submit and take a print.
Candidates have to pay the application fee or else their application will be rejected. The APSC AE application fee can be paid via Treasury Challan or via an online mode of payment. Here is the fee for various categories as mentioned in the official notification.

Assam Public Service Commission will issue a corrigendum later regarding the selection process for the Assistant Engineer post in the latest recruitment. It is stated in the notification that the commission will decide to conduct the examination or test zone-wise as per the number of candidates against the districts given below.

The expected topics of the syllabus for various subjects important for the examination are as follows.
Highway alignment and engineering surveys; Geometric design of highways- cross-sectional elements, gradients, super-elevation, camber, sight distances, horizontal and vertical curves, transition curves, grade separations; highway materials- desirable properties and quality control tests; pavement design-types of pavement, design factors for flexible and rigid pavements, Indian Road Congress method of design; traffic engineering- traffic volume studies and characteristics, speed and delay studies, origin-destination studies, parking studies, traffic accident studies, traffic capacity, traffic signs and markings, traffic signals and its classification, traffic channelization islands and its design, road intersections, traffic rotary, and its design.
The APSC AE Exam Pattern 2022 will be released soon by the commission. However, candidates can check the expected exam pattern for the APSC AE below. The first stage of selection will be the Screening Test. This test will consist of objective type multiple-choice questions. The total questions will be 100, carrying one mark each. The questions will be asked from various topics of General Studies. Given below is the table is the detailed APSC AE Exam Pattern.

Once the APSC AE Exam dates are announced, conducting authorities will also be releasing the APSC Assistant Engineer Admit cards. Generally, the APSC AE Admit card is released 15 days prior to the examination. Candidates can download the APSC AE Hall ticket by visiting the Official Website of Assam Public Service Commission.
The APSC AE Cut Off Marks are the minimum marks that you will have to score to qualify the Screening Test/ Written Exam. Candidates securing marks equal to or more than the minimum qualifying marks will be selected for the next phase of selection. Once the written exam is conducted, a merit list will be released by APSC. It will consist of the names of the candidates who scored the max marks in the APSC AE Screening examination. Applicants whose names are in the APSC AE Merit List 2022, will be called for the next phase of selection.
