How to apply online for SSC CHSL 2022?

The SSC CHSL Exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission to select deserving candidates for posts such as DEO, Postal Assistant, LDC and Sorting Assistant. The exam takes place in three tiers and the minimum age limit for candidates to apply online for SSC CHSL Exam is 18 years. Candidates need to go through a set of steps to complete the SSC CHSL Apply Online process. The steps to be followed are as follows:

Step 1: Login to SSC Official Site

Candidates are required to apply online for the registration process. Candidates can check out the step by step procedure for submitting the online application form.

• Carefully enter your details such as your Full Name, Parent’s Name, Aadhaar Number Details, Date of Birth (In DD/MM/YYYY format), Email ID, Mobile Number and other details.
• You will receive an OTP on the registered Mobile Number and mail ID. Enter this OTP and click on Submit.
• The system will send the registration number and your password through SMS or email.

Step 2: Upload Photo and Signature

• The next step is uploading the scanned images of a passport size photograph and your signature.
• Make sure the photo or the image size is in the specific format and dimension.

Step 3: Fill the details in the SSC CHSL Application Form 2022

• Carefully enter the personal details, contact details and educational qualification based information like (category, gender, nationality, College/University name, passing year, roll number, score/marks and other details.
• Choose at least 3 exam centres in the region or zone of your choice. Select the post name i.e. LDC/JSA/PA/SA
• Now, after reading the declaration, tick the “I Agree” box and proceed to enter the captcha code on the screen.
• Finally, submit the application form to proceed to pay the application fees.

Step 4: Pay SSC CHSL Application Fees 2022

• The last step is the Exam fee payment i.e submission of the CHSL application fee.
• The SSC CHSL application fees are INR 100 for General and OBC candidates.
• Other candidates like Ex-Servicemen, Female, ST, SC, PwD candidates do not have to pay any exam application fees.
• The fee can be paid through both online mode and offline mode.
• For offline mode: You have to generate an offline challan from the SSC website after filling the form and submit the fees in cash with the challan at any of the State Bank of India (SBI) branches near you.
• For Online mode: For the online submission of exam fees, you have to select the mode of payment which includes options like Net Banking, BHIM UPI, Debit cards or Credit Cards and add the banking details in the payment gateway to submit the fees.

SSC CHSL Application Fee 2022

Candidates filling up the CHSL online application need to pay the assigned application fee which is different for different category candidates. The application fee can be paid through both online and offline modes to complete the SSC CHSL application form process. The Fees for General Category Males and OBC Males are Rs.100 and rest all the categories viz (Female/SC/ST/PwD/EXSM) are exempted from the application fees.

SSC CHSL Apply Online: Documents Required

SSC CHSL Application Process requires the candidates to submit certain documents for verification and completion of the process. The Documents required for SSC CHSL Apply Online Process are as follows:

• Aadhaar number. If the Aadhaar number is not available, please give one of the following ID Numbers. (You will be required to show the original document at a later stage):
• Email ID (to be verified through OTP).
• Mobile Number (to be verified through OTP)
  • Voter ID Card
  • PAN
  • Passport
  • Driving License
  • School/ College ID
  • Employer ID (Govt./ PSU/ Private)
• Information about the Board, Roll Number and Year of Passing the Matriculation (10th) Examination.
• Disability Certificate Number if you are a person with benchmark disability.

SSC CHSL Application Form Correction

After filling the application and Final Submission of the SSC CHSL Form, applicants will not get any separate option or chance to edit or update the given information or details.

• Therefore, it is important to enter all the details very carefully and re-check all the information before final submission of the form.
• In case any candidate faces some kind of issue or errors while filling the application, they can restart the entire process again from starting. SSC only accepts the last filled application form or the most recently filled form.
• Finally, it is of utmost importance to note down your registration number and the password after the registration process is over as you will not be able to retrieve it easily if you don’t note down the registration number details.
• After the candidates fill up the Application Form, they need to recheck by clicking the preview button to find out if they have entered the information correctly or not.

SSC CHSL Apply Online: Steps to Retrieve SSC CHSL ID & Password 

The SSC CHSL ID and password is required throughout the recruitment process, But, many applicants forget their SSC CHSL ID and password. In that case, you can follow the steps to retrieve SSC CHSL ID and Password given below. 

Step 1: If you can't remember your password, go to the "forgot password" option at the top of the SSC homepage.

Step 2: Fill in the blank tabs with your date of birth, name, and other information.

Step 3: Now, at the bottom of the page, press the "submit" button.

Step 4: Enter your e-mail address in the empty tab before pressing the submit button.

Step 5: Your registered ID will receive a pin code number.

Step 6: Now, enterthe pin code into the empty tab, then click the "recover" button.

Step 7: Your previous password or ID will be written on a new page that will open on your screen.

Step 8: Take careful note of the password or ID and keep it securely.

SSC CHSL Application Status 

Once you have submitted the SSC CHSL Application Form, the Staff Selection Commission will review it and determine whether your application has been cleared or not. If the SSC authorities does not find any discrepancies they will pass your SSC CHSL Application form and you can participate in the recruitment. If the SSC authorities find any wrong information, documentation not as per specified in the application, form filled incomplete etc, they will reject your SSC CHSL Application form.

SSC CHSL Apply Online Form: Reasons of Rejection
